This SOHO engagement was a favorite. While taking photos of all the designers, gowns, and models at NYBFW we got to meet up with our wedding clients who live nearby for some engagement photos.
SOHO might be our favorite neighborhood in New York City for engagement photography, and this session is exactly why. The cast iron architecture, the cobblestone streets, the mix of high-end boutiques and raw industrial texture, for us it all adds up to a visual environment that feels effortlessly editorial. We were in New York for New York Bridal Fashion Week, shooting designers and runway collections, and carved out time to meet up with this couple for a session in their own neighborhood. The result was one of the most natural-feeling engagement galleries we’ve produced.
As Boston-based wedding photographers, we travel regularly for engagements and weddings and fashion, and NYC is one of our most frequent destinations. SOHO, the West Village, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Dumbo are all locations we know well and love to photograph in.
