Adding event and wedding planning to our services was a natural step for CityLux. Sarah and Peter not only have years of experience as photographers, but in their previous careers also produced and managed conferences with international speakers and attendees. Our lead planner Allie brings dedication and an eye for detail. From welcome dinners, to shuttling VIPs to airports, to complex timelines; between multiple weddings and conferences, we have seen, and can handle, it all.

Should I Hire a Wedding Planner?
Many venues have a “complimentary wedding planner” as an incentive for booking their venue, these people are your day of coordinator at the venue, some of them wear many hats and are overworked. They can handle some items but often are too busy dealing with staff and other things to tend to what is needed.
Will they be setting up all your decor even if your ceremony is offsite? Are they coming to see you and making sure you have anything you need? Will they coordinate and lend a helping hand with all vendors (even assist with the floral install if needed)? Will they cue the DJ and Photographer along with all your loved ones giving speeches? Will they be tearing everything down at the end of the night? Will they make sure staff and other vendors are out of your photos and not standing around? Are they checking on your transportation and watching all the times? Do the guests have any needs that someone is thinking of?
Wedding planners do about 90% of the work before the wedding day even happens and coordinates with all vendors so that you don’t have to. After observing so many weddings as photographers, we know and understand what otten gets overlooked. As Boston wedding planners & coordinators, we work for you, we don’t work for the venue or anyone else. You are the top priority!
